I often found myself staring at a folder full of PDF books, unable to decide what to read next. So I built Picker — a small macOS utility with one job: choose for you. Import files or folders, select a few items, and Picker picks one at random.
Known limitation: if files are renamed or moved, matching can change when identity is path-based.
Picker is distributed directly, not through the App Store. On first launch macOS may block it — this is normal.
This is required only the first time. If you accidentally clicked "Move to Trash", download Picker again and you can also allow Picker from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Picker is available in:
English · Italiano · Português (Europeu)
Picker is a free macOS utility. No account, no tracking, no ads.
Download Picker 1.0.2macOS 13 or later
The download includes Picker v1.0.2.app and README files in English, Italian and Portuguese (EU).
Picker works entirely offline and does not collect any data.
If you find it useful, you can support its development with a donation.
